Baked White Beans & Sausage

Baked White Beans & Sausage

When you need a meal that’s comforting, nourishing, and incredibly easy to pull together, this Baked White Beans & Sausage dish delivers on every level. It’s rustic, hearty, and made with just a handful of wholesome ingredients—most of which you probably already have in your pantry or fridge.

The combination of cannellini beans and pork sausages creates a satisfying balance of protein, fiber, and healthy fats that keeps you full without feeling overly heavy. Cannellini beans bring a creamy texture and subtle earthiness, while the sausages add richness and savory depth. Together, they create a dish that feels both elevated and effortless.

One of the standouts in this recipe is the use of unsweetened apple juice—a subtle, unexpected addition that enhances the dish with a touch of natural sweetness. It brightens the beans, offsets the saltiness of the sausage, and helps create a delicious pan sauce that ties everything together beautifully.

Roasting everything in the same dish allows the flavors to meld perfectly. The garlic roasts in its skin, turning soft and mellow, while the sausages brown and release flavorful juices that the beans soak right up. It’s the kind of meal that feels cozy and grounding, yet still simple enough for a midweek dinner.

Whether you’re cooking for your family or just want something deeply satisfying with minimal prep, this recipe is a go-to you’ll want to keep in regular rotation.

How to Prepare

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Prick sausages with a fork and place in a baking dish with garlic cloves. Drizzle with 2 tbsp. olive oil and toss to coat. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until sausages start to brown on top.

Remove from the oven and carefully flip the sausages. Add beans and apple juice to the pan. Stir gently.

Remove from the oven, stir everything together, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
