If you’re like most people, you probably start your day by hitting the snooze button a few times. And then, once you finally get out of bed, you rush to get ready for work. By the time you leave for the day, you’re already exhausted. But what if I told you that there are three morning habits that could help change your day for the better?
So, I’ll just plant these ideas for you to think about adding to your morning routine:
1️Step outside. A few things can happen here. If it’s chilly, you’ll get that nice rush of cold air on your face to wake you up. If the sun is out, it will shine in your eyes and set your body’s internal clock (which can even help you sleep better at night!)
2️Drink a glass of water. After surviving an entire night of sleep with no food or drink, your body is craving water when you wake. Drinking a glass of water will rehydrate your cells and support your body in its daily detoxification.
3️Write down your goals. Getting clarity on one to three important things you want to accomplish in a day can alleviate anxiety and give you focus and energy to get going in the morning. Plus, people who write down their goals are more likely to achieve them!
These things are quick and simple but could shift the trajectory of the rest of your day.
