Turkey & Green Onion Breakfast Patties

If mornings tend to feel rushed or routine, these Turkey & Green Onion Breakfast Patties are a great way to bring ease and flavor back to your start of the day. Made with simple, nourishing ingredients and loaded with protein, these patties are both satisfying and easy to prep in advance—perfect for busy mornings when you need something quick, hearty, and homemade.

The combination of ground turkey, freshly grated ginger, garlic, and green onions creates a savory, aromatic base with just the right amount of kick from red pepper flakes. A splash of coconut aminos adds subtle umami depth, while fresh basil gives each bite a bright, herbaceous note that elevates the entire dish. The result is a flavorful, high-protein patty that’s light enough to keep you feeling energized but filling enough to power you through your morning.

These patties come together quickly and cook up beautifully in a skillet with just a touch of olive oil. They’re great on their own, paired with eggs, tucked into a breakfast wrap, or even served with sautéed greens or roasted vegetables for a well-rounded plate. Best of all, they’re incredibly meal-prep friendly—you can store them in the fridge for up to five days or freeze them for longer, making them an ideal option for weekly planning or last-minute breakfasts.

Whether you’re looking for a clean, protein-rich start to the day or a flavorful alternative to store-bought breakfast options, these turkey patties deliver. They’re simple, versatile, and full of fresh, vibrant flavor—just what you need to begin your day on a strong and savory note.

How to Prepare

In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey with the coconut aminos, ginger, green onions, garlic, red pepper flakes, basil and salt. Mix well, then with wet hands, form the mixture into 16 even-sized patties and flatten them gently between your two hands until about ½”  thick.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Working in batches, add the patties to the skillet, and cook on both sides until the patties have browned, this will take around 6-8 minutes. Continue cooking, occasionally flipping the patties over, for a further 4-6 minutes. Repeat this process with remaining patties.

Storage: Once cooked and cooled, leftover patties can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
